U.S. Embassy Sponsors Art Exhibition

Artist Tsegay Discusses His Artworks	Artwork by Tsegay Asghedom

On May 16, 2008 artist Tsegay Asghedom opened his art exhibition, “Wisdom of Living with Nature,” at the Casa degli Italiani. The exhibition, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and Alliance Francaise, opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by welcome remarks by Mr. Asghedom and Ms. Jennifer McIntyre, Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy. Mr. Asghedom has been a well-known artist for several decades, and the first to introduce street portrait painting to Eritrea.

Mr. Asghedom’s art exhibition will run through May 22, 2008, and is open to the general public.
