On February 25, U.S. Embassy and Keren public library staff organized computer and internet training at the library’s American Corner for students from the Keren Deaf School. With the help of a sign language interpreter from the school, 20 hearing-impaired individuals were provided training on basic computer applications and use of the internet. This training follows an earlier training in November also coordinated with Keren’s Deaf School for their students.
The American Corner in Keren is collocated with the public library and provides free information resources and internet services to the public.
