Health Fair by the American Embassy

 
Briefing on Women's Issues 
The Public Affair Section and Health Unit of the U.S. Embassy, Asmara, hosted a health fair on Thursday afternoon, January 17, at the Eritro-German auditorium.

H.E. Ronald K. McMullen, U.S. Ambassador to Eritrea, opened the Health Fair at a ribbon-cutting ceremony which was attended more than 700 viewers. Ambassador Ronald welcomed the crowd and said in his remarks, “This event, which is the first time we've held a health fair, is opened to extend the friendship of Americans with Eritreans.  Good health is important for everyone. It is my pleasure to be part of it, and we hope this type of event will continue in the future.”

 
Doctors wer giving their services to anyone
After his remarks, he asked all the health care professionals to introduce themselves.

The health care professionals who volunteered their time and services included three Medical Doctors and three Nurses. They ensured that this health program provided valuable services to the public who found answers to various questions on diabetes, hearth health, HIV/AIDS, women’s issues, children’s health, vision and hearing, The audience was very enthusiastic and encouraged the U.S. Embassy to offer another health fair in the future, particularly one that would offer services for children.
