Young Local Artist Exhibits Her Art Thanks to U.S. Embassy

An art exhibit opening of the works of Eritrean artist Rahel Bhahlibi, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, was held on Friday November 24, 2006 at Casa Deghli Italiani in Asmara. The opening was well attended by both Eritrean and international art aficionados. U.S. Ambassador Scott H. DeLisi and his wife Mrs. Leija DeLisi were among those in attendance.

After thanking the Ambassador for the Embassy’s support, the artist invited the Ambassador to say a few words. Ambassador DeLisi noted the U.S. Embassy’s long-standing support for Eritrean art and culture, especially young women artists.
